Search for subsidies and support

In Fukuoka City, childcare centers and other facilities may be used once the child is 3 months old. For those who need childcare from the end of maternity leave (after 8 weeks) to 3 months of age, a subsidy will be provided to partially cover the cost of dispatching a home babysitter.

Those Entitled to Receive a Subsidy

Parents of children between 8 weeks and 3 months old whose need for childcare due to reasons such as employment is recognized by Fukuoka City .

Procedure

1.  Please apply to use a childcare center from 3 months after childbirth at the Child Rearing Support Section of the ward where the facility you wish to use is located.
2. After applying, please contact the Business Planning Division of the Child Future Bureau (☎ 711-4114). We will confirm whether you meet the requirements and send you an application if you do.
3. Please sign a direct contract with a babysitter dispatch business operator in Fukuoka City that is a member of the National Association of Childcare Services listed below.
4. Please submit the Application for Use from (2) above to the service provider.

*Please note that this procedure must be completed at least 14 days before starting to use the service.

Within 10 hours, from 7 am to 8 pm

User Fees

400 yen per hour
However, households on public assistance, or are exempt from municipal resident taxes, pay 200 yen per hour
