Egao-Kan is a comprehensive counseling center for children aged 0 to 20. Children and their parents or guardians may receive general or specialized counseling and support on various issues related to children in the fields of health, welfare, and education.

At Egao-Kan, we offer the following types of counseling and advice:

• Advice on concerns about raising a baby (breast or bottle-feeding, eating, elimination, sleep)
• Advice on child growth and development
• Advice on disciplining children
• Counseling on problematic behaviors such as domestic violence
• Advice on development and institutionalization for those with mental or physical disabilities
• Advice on receiving the Rehabilitation Certificate or Special Child-Rearing Financial Support Allowance
• Counseling for children regarding their own physical problems and sexuality
• Counseling for children who tend to withdraw from society
• Counseling for those facing difficulties in raising a child at home due to the illness or death of the parent or guardian
• Advice on placing children with foster parents or becoming a foster parent
• Counseling on problematic behaviors such as children wandering around at night, shoplifting, stealing, or taking money from home
• Counseling on gender issues such as sexual abuse and cross-dressing
• Advice for families facing problems in the child-rearing environment, such as neighborhood children being abused
• Counseling on issues such as not feeling affection for your child(ren)
• Counseling regarding truancy (refusal to attend school)
• Advice on school life problems such as bullying

This service is offered to children and youth from 0 to 20 years old, their families, and others concerned.
