About the Single-Parent Family Support Center

The Fukuoka City Single Parent Family Support Center is a welfare facility offering a variety of counseling for single parent families and widows. We also provide employment support seminars to help single parent families become independent.

Single Parent Family Childcare Forum

This is a place where families headed by single mothers and fathers can gather freely. 
A childcare provider will help out while parents talk and children play together. 
Hourly childcare is also available for your child (reservation required).

Every month, on the 1st Sunday, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm

Mother and Child Chat Group

This is a space where mothers and their children can freely express their thoughts and feelings.
Let's create a safe space to share your experiences and offer mutual support.
A childcare provider will look after your children in the nursery room.

Every month, on the 3rd Sunday, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm

Single Parent Family Gatherings

This is an event where families headed by single mothers and fathers can get together.
In the morning, a lecture on useful content is provided, and in the afternoon, workshops are held for parents to have fun with their children.

Grief Care Chat Group

This is where parents of bereaved single-parent families can easily join and speak freely and openly.
We offer this as a safe space to share your experiences and support each other.
Your children will be watched by a childcare provider in the nursery room.

Twice a Year (May, October) on the 5th Sunday, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
