For a maximum period of 4 years, this program provides financial support for single parents who are studying at a training institute to obtain a qualification that enhances their employability.
An unmarried person with a dependent child under 20 years old, who meets all of the following criteria:
*Those receiving subsidies with the same purpose as this one, such as subsidized job training under the Job Applicant Support Program, the extended training subsidy stipulated in Article 24 of the Employment Insurance Law, or the subsidized education and training support stipulated in Article 11-2 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Employment Insurance Law, are NOT eligible for this subsidy.
Nurses, Assistant Nurses, Nursing Care Workers, Child Care Workers, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dental Hygienists, Cosmetologists, Social Workers, Licensed Confectioners, Cooks, Nutritionists, Barbers, Moxibustionists, Acupuncturists, Judo Physiotherapists, Midwives, Speech Pathologists, Clinical Engineers, Dental Technicians, Mental Health Workers, and Class 2 Auto Mechanics
*As a rule, students must attend school, but correspondence courses may be allowed for those seeking certification while working.
Only for the 2022 academic year, requirements for the period of study and eligibility have been relaxed.

In addition to the above amount, households with three or more dependents under 20 years old will receive 10,000 yen per child from the third child onward.
*Applications for this benefit must be made separately from the promotion subsidy. (Certain conditions apply.)
